Vistamar Reserva: a line of wines from cold valleys

Made with slowly ripened grapes from the cold areas of the Central Valley, Brisa is a line of Viña Vistamar wines characterized by great freshness and extraordinary fruit expression.

Viña Vistamar is characterized by having modern wines, with vertical structures and great concentration. And it is a winery that has studied for years the terroirs where it produces its wines, looking for sectors with microclimates and soil conditions that allow and respect the ripening of the fruit.

Continuing this search for cold climates, Vistamar reached the Maule Valley, where it found vineyards influenced by the coast and the Andes, and where the vines deliver highly concentrated grapes with a characteristic freshness. From them, the Reserva line is obtained, which stands out for having powerful, refreshing and complex wines.

The Vistamar Reserva portfolio has 6 wines. In the first place, a purple-red Cabernet Sauvignon with ruby touches, which presents pleasant aromas of maqui, blueberries and cherries on the nose, as well as spices and hints of vanilla. On the palate it is very fruity, with notes of dark chocolate and coffee beans. It has a good structure, medium body and a pleasant persistence.

The Carménère, on the other hand, stands out for its purple-red color and its aromas of fruits such as blackberries and cherries, as well as fresh herbs. On the palate it is smooth, spicy and fruity, medium-bodied, with flavors of raspberries and blueberries. It is ideal to accompany cheeses, pastas, white meats, fatty fish and charcuterie.

As for the white varieties, the Sauvignon Blanc from this line is a pale-yellow wine with a bright greenish hue, with citrus and fruity notes reminiscent of green apples, white-fleshed peaches and pears. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and with tense acidity, with a balanced body and a long finish.

For its part, the Chardonnay stands out for its citrus character, with fruity notes of pineapple, green apple and pear. Fresh, fruity and balanced on the palate, medium-bodied, creamy and with good persistence. It is ideal to accompany white meats, shellfish and rather fatty fish, such as salmon, albacore and sea bass.

Finally, Vistamar Reserva Pinot Noir is the only wine in the line that comes from the Casablanca Valley. The climate of this area has a strong maritime influence, which gives this valley a cold weather condition that is manifested in grapes with a high aromatic expression and freshness. And in this Pinot Noir it stands out. With notes of red fruits and spices, this wine has a delicate, fresh, balanced body and good acidity. It is ideal to accompany appetizers, Asian food, carpaccio, among others.
