Gran Reserva wines come from valleys recognized for their extraordinary quality, such as Casablanca and Maipo. The line, which has six varieties, is marked by the great elegance and balance of its wines.

Viña Vistamar is characterized by having modern wines, with vertical structures and great concentration. And it is a vineyard that has studied for years the terroirs where it produces its wines, looking for sectors with microclimates and soil conditions that allow and respect the ripening of the fruit.

Its Gran Reserva line comes from 2 valleys, which are recognized worldwide for the exceptional nature of their terroirs: Casablanca and Maipo. Following the tradition of the vineyard, these valleys were selected because their soil and climate conditions allow the grapes to take their time and mature at their own pace.

The Gran Reserva portfolio has 6 wines. First, a Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah blend from the Maipo Valley, aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels. It is dark, intense violet in color and has notes of dark chocolate and black cherries. On the palate, it has pleasant acidity and elegant, velvety tannins, very characteristic of its terroir.

Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, tasty, and persistent wine. Very deep red in color, it has notes of black and red fruits such as plum, cassis and cherry and notes of tobacco, cinnamon, and coffee beans. It also comes from the Maipo Valley, like Gran Reserva Carmenere, which with its intense red color and violet hues, is fresh, fruity, and complex, with massive and velvety tannins.

Gran Reserva Pinot Noir, on the other hand, is from the Casablanca Valley, a sector characterized by a cold climate and clay soils that allow limited production, but of great quality. It has notes of raspberries, fresh cherries, and flowers and on the palate, it is intense, fruity, and slightly spicy. It is full-bodied, elegant, and complex.

The Gran Reserva Chardonnay version is made with grapes from the Belén field in the Lo Ovalle sector in Casablanca. Its harvest is 100% manual and 40% of it is fermented with its skins to obtain greater structure. It is a very fruity wine, fresh and of great volume, delicate, with a delicious balance of acidity.

Finally, Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc is a bright straw yellow wine with notes of fresh herbs, honey, and orange blossom. On the palate it is complex, fresh, and mineral, with outstanding citrus notes of grapefruit and white-skinned peaches. It is a persistent, elegant wine with good structure.
